Setting up Footer Content using Elementor

Theme provided 2 ways to create and edit footer content. You can select one you want to use via Appearance > Customize > Footer > General > Display Footer Content From.

Using Footer Content with Elementor Page Builder

This option you can create multiple footer content and edit it using Elementor page builder which provides very flexible layouts for each page.

From WordPress Dashboard > Footers > Add New Footer

Then edit the footer with Elementor page builder.

It will open Elementor page builder editor page which you can use its drag&drop interface to create footer content. You can view detailed documentation about how to use Elementor page builder here.

Once you save all changes for footer content. There are 2 options to set it up to pages.

First you can select it as default footer content for all pages via Appearance > Customize > Footer > General > Default Footer Content.

Second you can overwrite default footer content on selected page using Page option > Page Footer.

We are using Elementor Page Builder plugin so you can use its drag&drop user interface to create your footer contents.

Please navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Footers > Add New Footer. Then enter its title and click “Edit with Elementor” option.

Now you will open Elementor page builder editor. You can import demo footer by clicking on template button.

It will open a popup box. Click on “Blocks” tab and filter only “Theme Footer” option. Then select footer you want to import by clicking “Insert” button.

Elementor will ask to connect Elementor to your website. You have to create Elementor account and connect it to your website within this process (If you have already connected to Elementor. You can skip this step).

Once it’s imported successfully. You can customize footer columns, contents including social icons, buttons, logo image etc.

Using Footer Sidebar

This option use WordPress traditional widgets so you can easily drag widgets you want to display in Footer Sidebar from Appearance > Widgets.

Footer Widgets

Once you setup footer sidebar columns option from Appearance > Customize > Footer > General > Footer Sidebar Columns. Now you can add widgets to “Footer Sidebar” via Appearance > Widgets. Simply drag widget you want to add on the left side and drop on “Footer Sidebar” area

Using Footer Sidebar

This option use WordPress traditional widgets so you can easily drag widgets you want to display in Footer Sidebar from Appearance > Widgets.

Footer Widgets

Once you setup footer sidebar columns option from Appearance > Customize > Footer > General > Footer Sidebar Columns. Now you can add widgets to “Footer Sidebar” via Appearance > Widgets. Simply drag widget you want to add on the left side and drop on “Footer Sidebar” area

Footer

The first area of theme footer is a widgetized section which you can displays them into 1-4 columns. This content can be organised in WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets

Setup Footer Sidebar

  1. First you have to enable it. Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer > General < Footer Sidebar Columns
  2. Select number of columns to display from 1-4 columns

Setup Footer Sidebar Widgets

  1. To add widgets, go to Appearance > Widgets
  2. You will find “Footer Widget” section. Simply drag and drop widgets you want from the left side boxes into the “Footer Sidebar”.

Setup Footer Colors

You can change footer background color, font color and etc. Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer > Colors once finish customising. Click “Save All Changes” button.

Setup Footer Photostream

You can enable photostream options from Appearance > Theme Setting > Social Profiles. You can displays photostream from Flickr/Instagram account.

Setup Copyright Bar 

Below the widgetized area of footer is copyright bar where you can add your  copyright text including link to it. Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer > Copyright 

The go to top option if you enable it. It will display arrow up button when visitor click on it. It will redirect to the top of page.

Setting up Footer Menu

  • Go to Appearance > Menus. Click “Create Menu” button
  • To add menu items, select one of your pages/posts on the left hand boxes. Then click “Add To Menu”.
  • If you want to add custom link menu item (for example home link). Select “Links” and enter URL, Link Text there.
  • You can organise your menu items using drag&drop functionality.
  • After setting up your menu, scroll down to the bottom of the page then assign the menu to “Footer Menu” in the Theme Locations box.
  • Open Appearance > Customize > Footer > Copyright > Copyright Right Area Content and select “Footer Menu”.
